Over the years traffic has become a major concern for most towns. Since 2008, deaths of pedestrians has increased to more than 6000 fatalities per year. Though there can be a number of reasons for fatalities between pedestrians, unsafe road crossings shouldn’t be an option. While countries have been dealing with the traffic problems in their own ways, Iceland has come up with an impressive and creative solution for increasing road safety for pedestrians.

With the help of cleverly detailed optical illusion, people have created a creative speed bump that looks almost 3 dimensional.
It gives the pedestrians the feeling of walking in the air.
Apart from giving the pedestrians the feeling of walking light on their feet, the 3-D speed bumps attracts the attention of drivers.
It is pretty easy to spot the floating ‘zebra stripes’ and slow down.
Icelandic environmental commissioner Ralf Trylla called for the placement of 3-D crossing in Ísafjörður. After which even India had an exceptional 3-D crossing in New Delhi.
Ágúst G. Atlason of Gústi Productions took these incredible pictures of the fancy installment.
Isn’t this the most creative crosswalks in the world?
Not only does this design give foot walkers that once in a lifetime feeling while keeping them safe from any accidents.
